FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

IGNITION SWITCHED OFF!

1-  Remove the blanking plug from the rear of the LH side of the transmission and install the new sender unit and cable in the

2- Remove the cubby-box liner from the DTCO position and insert the metal Trim Sleeve supplied. Bend back the appropriate tabs to secure.

3- Wire up A1/A2/A5/A6 of the Plug and Harness supplied, to the adjacent cigar lighter socket and wire up A3 to a suitable ignition feed (15) in the electrical compartment below the         steering column. Transmission with a new/existing bolt and route the cable through the left-hand bulkhead gaiter into the cab.

4-Insert the WHITE and YELLOW plugs in the A and B sockets at the rear of the DTCO and fit the Plug and Harness Sealing Cover Supplied. Insert one of the Red Seals supplied in the Sealing Cover embossed with your GB seal no. Slide the DTCO into position until locked.

5- Secure all cables allowing for the DTCO to be withdrawn

6- Complete the calibration and sealing of the installation

For the VW LT remove the original sensor and replace with KITAS supplied, the instrument cluster will need to driven from B6 of the DTCO.

The instrument cluster is triggered via B6 connection of DTCO.

The connection to the instrument cluster cen be made via the 2-pole seperation point (cable colour white – accessible after removal of the left panel next to steering wheel

Installation of Geoloc

Installation instructions

In order to provent GPS sensitivity issues, the module needs to be installed in a

position where the module has a clear view to sky and satellites.

1-  When installing the geoloc module in a vehicle, make sure that there are as

few obstruction as possible close to the unit since it has an internal GPS antenna.

Any obstruction might block the 360 view to the horizon that is reguired for operation.

Ideally, nothing should block the antenna beyond 5 degrees above the horizon with the

best location being on the windscreen.

2-  The GPS receiver antenna (Patch-Antenna) is located underneath the type data plate.

Therefore the data platev (antenna side of the module) should face upwards towards the sky (see image below)

PLEASE NOTE: The Geoloc is equipped with 120 Ohm can resistor. The wiring to CAN 1 or CAN 2 must take this into account !
